FAQs
How do telehealth appointments work at Glow Health & Wellness?
Telehealth appointments are conducted through a secure video platform. During your visit, our medical provider reviews your symptoms, medical history, and health goals just as they would in person. You will receive clear next steps for labs, prescriptions, and follow-up care. All communication remains private, convenient, and personalized.
Can I do hormone therapy entirely through telehealth?
Yes. Our providers can fully manage your hormone therapy through telehealth if you are located in Florida, Alabama, or Arkansas. Virtual visits, ongoing support, lab testing near you, and medication shipping allow for complete management without traveling to the clinic.
Where do I go for lab work?
We send lab orders to a diagnostic location near you, such as LabCorp or another certified facility. Once your results are received, your provider reviews them with you during a follow-up visit and adjusts your treatment plan as needed.
How are medications delivered?
Once your prescription is finalized, medications and necessary supplies are shipped directly to your home. This includes bioidentical hormones, weight loss therapies, peptide treatments, or other prescribed medications based on your plan.
How soon will I start seeing results?
Every person responds differently, but many clients begin noticing improvements in energy, sleep, mood, and focus within a few weeks. Physical changes such as muscle tone and weight improvements may take 8–12 weeks. Your treatment is closely monitored and adjusted to help you reach optimal results as efficiently as possible.
What symptoms can hormone imbalance cause?
Symptoms vary by individual, but common concerns include low energy, decreased libido, mood swings, brain fog, weight gain, hot flashes, erectile dysfunction, sleep disturbances, irritability, and changes in muscle mass or body composition. These symptoms are often dismissed as “normal aging,” although they are very treatable.
What is the difference between bioidentical hormones and synthetic hormones?
Bioidentical hormones are chemically identical to the hormones naturally produced in the human body, which allows for better compatibility and symptom improvement with fewer side effects. Synthetic hormones differ in molecular structure and may not respond the same way biologically. At Glow Health & Wellness, we utilize bioidentical options tailored to your lab results and goals.
Are hormones safe?
When prescribed thoughtfully, monitored regularly, and used under the guidance of trained professionals, hormone therapy is considered safe and effective. Our providers follow evidence-based protocols and ongoing lab testing to ensure your therapy is optimized for safety and long-term wellness.
What is functional medicine and how is it different from traditional medicine?
Traditional medicine often focuses on treating symptoms. Functional medicine goes deeper to identify and correct the underlying causes of illness or imbalance. We examine hormones, metabolism, gut health, inflammation, lifestyle, and nutrition to provide a comprehensive and individualized approach to health.
What conditions can functional medicine address?
Functional medicine is especially beneficial for concerns such as fatigue, weight gain, thyroid dysfunction, autoimmune issues, brain fog, digestive problems, and chronic inflammation. It is a whole-body approach designed to restore optimal function, not simply mask symptoms.
Do you accept insurance for visits, labs, or medications?
We do not accept insurance for consultations, lab work, or treatment plans. This allows us to focus on detailed, proactive care without insurance limitations. An itemized invoice can be provided for you to submit for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
Can I use HSA or FSA for my treatment plan?
Yes. Most services and medications at Glow Health & Wellness are eligible for HSA/FSA payment. Many patients choose this option to help offset their wellness investment.
Are there long-term treatment contracts?
No. You only pay for the services and medications you choose, with no subscription commitment required. Treatment recommendations are based on your health needs and progress, not a contract.
